Our History
Crumps Barn Studio is a publisher based in the heart of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire, England. We publish both new and established authors who write the sort of books you and your family will want to treasure.
We were established in 2012 and we take our name from the early 20th century Dutch barn which became our first office. This barn was built by the Gloucester steelworks Crump and Son. The barn became known as Crumps Barn, and from there we found our name.
In 2022, we celebrated ten years as a publisher, and we moved to a studio shop in the heart of Cirencester while we refurbished our rural base. We returned to our original publishing home at Crumps Barn in August 2024 where we are continuing with our mission to produce beautiful reads for your bookshelf.

Travelling by car from Cheltenham: turn off the A417 at the junction for Elkstone, Winstone and Syde. Turn left to pass under the dual-carriageway. Turn right at the next T Junction, following signs for Syde. Pass the first cluster of farm buildings along the lane. Find us on the right after about a half a mile.
Travelling by car from Cirencester: turn off the A417 at the junction for Winstone and Syde by the Highwayman Inn. Turn right at the T junction. Continue straight on, following signs for Syde. Pass the first cluster of farm buildings along the lane. Find us on the right after about a half a mile.
Look out for the big grey tin barn! We’re very distinctive …
Using public transport: although public transport services are limited, buses between Gloucester and Cirencester are able to set down and pick up near the Highwayman Inn. Our barn is a 15 minute walk towards Syde.
